Many designers were inspired by getaways and/or nostalgia this season and in today’s political climate, it’s not hard to see why is that. Joseph Altuzarra took us to the Mediterranean where his family has a holiday home saying; “I wanted the collection to feel happy, optimistic, colourful,”
And this collection is defiantly all of those in its own sophisticated feminine way. There is a lots of floral prints, midi skirts with high slits and crochet pieces topped up with this (and probably the following) summer’s biggest trend: shells and pearls.
I bet we’ll see many of these pieces coming back in the near future as the pearl accented jewellery, shoes, bags and belts are nothing but to die for and also a more affordable thing to take our hand on. Cannot wait to see the high street’s own versions (along with the knitted midis and cropped cardis) come next spring. 🙂
Are you craving for summer yet? 😀
