Have you felt any spring/summer vibe from the previous collections I featured? Trying to think back here, but either my memory fails me or there were no such thing as true summer collection. Carolina Herrera maybe? It’s no wonder though (any of those options actually), because designers never really liked to dress their models according to the season or practicality, but there was always a give away.
All that said, this is the first collection where I have that true spring feeling. The pastel colours, the fruit print, the lightweight clothes, everything had the vibe we just kissed our goodbyes. On the other hand though, I’m not sure why but I quite like this collection. There is nothing remarkable here really, yet, it feels fresh, real and approachable for many. It feels something we will see plenty of times on Instagram in the near future.
Also, the designer described this lineup as “a personal reflection on a real woman’s life,” and said that she hoped that what it reflected was the eclecticism of a real woman’s desire to dress one way one day and entirely differently the next. If you ask me, I’ll say she achieved that seamlessly.
What do you think?
