Still with LFW here, I swear, I’ll get crack on with the rest, but this is just too good, while Milan, this time, didn’t really impress me to be honest. I’m happy for the strong London line up though, so on to the next; Roksanda.
Roksanda Ilincic, the creative director of her namesake brand is nothing but a talent when it comes to colours and forms. Her clothes are relatable yet have that little bit of extra twist that any fashionable woman wants for herself.
This time she, like lots of other designers, has been thinking about to express femininity the unusual way. You know, like strong board shoulders, metals, military references or any kind of typically masculine feature really. A woman doesn’t have to take on masculine features in order to be strong and confident after all.
So went she the other direction with long flow-y skirts, soft fabrics, warm tones and some shiny glitters. Clearly, a true woman’s idea of femininity. Strong yet soft, sensual yet practical and comfy. The idea of femininity, we all can identify with.
