Hello London Fashion Week! And I’m well aware that I am a bit late to the party, but hey-ho, good work takes time. So lets crack on with the latest Ports 1961 collection anyway, there is no time to waste.
I find it a bit weird that there is no buzz around this brand, even if it perfectly would fill the shoes of Phoebe Philo’s Céline with its kind of minimalistic but also very refined, fashionable style. Creative director Natasa Cagalj is a textile expert what you can observe if scroll down for the runway looks. There is a lot of interesting stuff is going on, but not in an overwhelming way, which is exactly why I dare to compare it to Philo’s work.
This season she collaborated with a German workshop, known for its impressive handwoven plaids, but there are also plenty of tassels, macramé, drawstring and rope details to drool over here. Not to mention the laid back rainbow colour palette which is nothing but a hit! Love. These. All.
Are you drooling yet?
