Ops. I swear I’m not a hypocrite, although I guess a real one would say the same… Anyway, give credit where credit is due, I always say, and I really mean it, especially when a new season (autumn!) comes. Or again, maybe it’s my excuse to go boners with shopping and where is Black Friday yet?
This is what I wore as not everything is about buying clothes, but wearing them! Hat and leather jacket from Mango, t-shirt and jeans from Topshop, loafers from Office and believe it or not but stringy bag from Via Lia.
Are you over checked blazers (and coats) yet? Me neither. Granted, this one is a bit pricey for 80 quid, but it’s nicely tailored, great neutral colour with some rusty red stripes running through, has some non scratchy wool in it, which is miraculous for high street standers and also, has all the little details (lining, pockets, buttons, vent in the back) what make a blazer worth more than it really is.
And mom jeans? Ok, I might sound boring, but what works that works and actually, I find it hard to find nice mid wash jeans with a decent price. Funnily enough Zara calls this a light wash but… Ok. Whatever. It is the right shade, the right fit and right price and that’s all what matters.
Question. Is it too soon to buy into coats? Frankly I have that feeling, but Urban Outfitters has Christmas trees(!) set up in its Westfield store, so what do I know. Back to coats, I guess, it doesn’t hurt to try on things and contemplate them before they fly out of the shelves. This leopard number is great and soft but I’m not totally convinced by its fit. The buttons are too low, aren’t they?
If you’re not crazy about leopard, how do you feel about checks? Again, this blouse is (again) a bit overpriced, but if that’s what floats your boat who am I to judge. It has a nice colour, it’s a good transitional piece, good fit and fabric, made of viscose.
Finally, for now. Who knew you can find the perfect basic court shoes (these are good too) in Zara? Actually I could have, as I have a similar in style, but different in colour (tan) pair for years, and I swear those are the most comfortable dang thing ever when it comes to pointy court shoes. And I know, it’s hard to believe that somebody lacks something like this basic for years, but I could never find the right pair. Basic or not, there is always something, or I am too finicky and savvy, cos I refuse to pay too much for something I don’t wear every damn day. Well worth the wait. Also, gosh, the snake skin one is very tempting too…
So yeah, I’m afraid this wasn’t the last shopping tour this month… ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What do you think?
