All my respect to those who have to wear full office attire through the whole summer, especially at heatwaves. I probably would have died if I had to wear suits and closed shoes, and I know mot of offices have air-conditioning, but the streets, the buses/trains and the Tube for sure do not therefore they are the worst. Also, I don’t think an overcooled building helps, on the contrary I recon, but what do I know.
Having said that, actually I do know that hot weather calls for lots of liquid, shade and ventilation and here we come fashion. The key is breathable natural fabrics, like cotton, linen. Lyocell or viscose from the semi-synthetic variety. Barely there sandals, lightweight bags and good sunglasses are also important, so I dressed accordingly when we visited Cambridge the second time (first time visit here, thank you for asking :)).
The reusable coffee cup is optional in this case, but highly recommended if we want to do something (baby steps, baby steps) for this globe we’re living on. It’s not only ‘stylish’ but I can follow its exact journey in cafés, while never getting others’ drinks.
Sunglasses – RayBan, necklaces – Missoma and Cinco, dress – Warehouse, bag – ViaLia, bangle – from Bath, sandals – Zara, cup – from Marwell Zoo
Have a great and cooler weekend!
