Welcome to a new ‘Shopping Stroll’ post! If you’re wondering, yes, I was contemplating about giving up shopping for a while, but oh well, it’s not happening right now. That’s fine though, the weather is amazing here in the UK and what can you do when your wardrobe is not prepared for proper hot summer days?
I’m currently having a new thing for Topshop, probably due to the fact that they do really good summer pieces for a fairly reasonable price. And while I didn’t buy this camo shacket (still hate this word, but there is no better I guess), it was the closest what I could imagine wearing. Like the tortoiseshell buttons and the big pockets (obviously), but I’m not sure of the camouflage print.
I didn’t think twice about this midi skirt though (size 6). It’s almost perfection from the buttons trough the rust colour to the linen/viscose blend fabric. It’s actually the very same fabric as my red dress from last year and couldn’t imagine better for summer. Again it has zero pockets, but then it would be too good to be true.
Having said all that, are you even surprised I went for this linen blend button trough midi dress in the same colour (size 8 though, because who knows)? My search for summer dresses is basically a never ending thing, but the itching has gone for now. I’m not sure why I didn’t try it earlier, but the weather definitely gave me the push.
And do you remember what I said about red? So yes, Topshop used the same almost orang-y red colour to produce this basic cotton t-shirt, which I already had in white.
This is my only sale buy and it’s pure luck i could find these paper bag waist shorts in my size. I don’t like spending too much on shorts, only because I don’t wear them too much, so I’m more than happy with the £14 price tag, especially because they’re part of the Conscious collection and made out of textured lyocell. My only minor complain would be about the lack of back pockets, but for this price I’ll
happily leave that behind.
And finally, I don’t tend to buy too much stuff from Zara nowadays, but I give credit where credit is due and this beaded mini tote bag is good and the price is not that bad, given that other brands ask for much more money. Again, I didn’t buy this one, because well, I’m not sure how much I’m influenced by the raging trend, but if I wanted/you want to have a little fun with it or having an evening coming up, it’s a good way to go.
