Virgil Abloh might be the designer of various fashion house (Louis Vuitton menswear, plus Off-White both for men and women), he still found some time to show up the photoshoot of his Off-White Resort collection, which is admirable but on the other hand also questionable. How long will he be able to upkeep this level of commitment when famous designers are on the edge of burnout?
Don’t get me wrong, this collection is good, but actually, there is nothing here we haven’t seen before. A carry-on of his previous ideas, like vintage like denim, logo prints and sporty casual meets trendy street style. “Preppiness as a trend is dead, what fashion looks like when influenced by activewear,” said he.
Performance fabrics, as he calls them now allow women to feel dressed for brunch even if they’ve just sweat through a spin class. I’m not entirely sure, how I feel about this statement, because we’re speaking about totally different activities and events, but I’ve been never against comfy casual daywear or denim, so yeah, lets go with it. The layering is amazing anyhow. 🙂
How do you feel bout this collection?
