I’ve never really been a summer loving kind of girl, not because I cannot tolerate the heat or love greenery, but because it’s been difficult to dress up properly and without showing too much flesh. Especially when it’s 40C degree outside and you want to tear off everything but your skin.
Luckily, this is not a big danger here in the UK, while we still can enjoy a bit of sunshine and a lot of greenery, although the weather can change quick and it can be very grey and muggy at the same time. Solution? Wide leg cropped pants (although I like a pair of good tapered chino as well)! How couldn’t I think of this sooner, I’m not sure, but here we go.
Also, navy (or any kind of blue really, except for denim) is not my favourite, even if I tried a couple of times, but muted greyish navy with white stripes in form of bottom wear is a totally different story. It’s neutral enough to go with everything (particularly with yellows ;)), dark enough to be practical (and slimming), yet not black, which is ideal if you ask me. And so, I very much see its appeal.
