The button theme is still going strong, if you haven’t noticed already, I have a slight obsession with tortoise shell buttons on garments, especially linen and cotton ones, and luckily, Topshop has a rather superb, yet affordable selection to choose from.
My new summer look is done, too bad the weather turned back into winter here. 😒
Item #1 is this off-white linen blend camisole. I guess, it doesn’t need too much explanation, it’s simple, affordable and a good summer staple. It’s also available in yellow and sage green which are very tempting, but I
don’t think don’t need them.
What I needed though, it’s this linen blend wide leg trousers with – surprise -, exposed tortoise buttons and fancy paper bag waist (with no ties), yay. Cannot wait to wear these as the temperature starts rising again.
Also ordered this button up casual shirt (in size 8), because I never not need one, and while this seemed good in photos, the fabric and quality was a big disappointment. I returned them and while at it, I tried another one but with no luck, all of them looked quite bad despite being new. 🙁
Now this blouse is much better, the fabric is thicker and full viscose. Actually i tried it once already in white, but I felt like a nurse, so then returned it, but couldn’t get the idea out of my head and here we are. It might be only me, but the same clothes in black can look more expensive, which is definitely true in this case, not to mention the no nurse vibes. I love the idea of the asymmetric buttons, but I’ll probably add one or two more to make it more special.
So there you have it. What do you think other than it’s almost May and the sun should definitely come back at last?
