It’s almost spring, but not quite yet, so we still need those layers and so this won’t be a spring edition just yet, sorry. I just cannot bring myself to buy things which have basically zero chance to wear, especially because the high street is packed with summery stuff. It’s still cold here and will be for a while, but whatever, I’m only a slightly fashion obsessed potential customer.
I mean, see? This is what I got to wear because of the sub zero temperatures (although it’s getting better now). Teddy coat is from Mango, very old jumper from Zara, Re/Done jeans and H&M all weather boots, Topshop beret, plus a few other thermal layers (from M&S, they’re the best) which you can’t see, but believe me, they’re there.
This is basically the same outfit, except for the jumper which is from La Redoute. And if you’re wondering the bag is new and I got it from Amazon with an amazing on sale price (£35! and still available). I love the bucket shape and the tan colour, it’s great for every day use and for school.
So this is Levi’s on Regent’s Street and these are here the newest 501 skinnies in washed black. Very much recommended if you, like me, live in your jeans. They’re not cheap but have a nice high rise (with 5 button fly!) and are very comfortable due to some elastane. I got my usual size.
This is now Topshop and I only went in to try this biker jacket on. Note, that it runs a bit small and I had to try a size 10. But lets move on because this was just a comparison to the jacket I’ve had my eyes on for a while.
Enter Mango, where basically all my jackets and coats are from, but believe me, there is a reason to that. It’s so soft and the cut is so flattering. The best faux shearling-lined biker jacket I’ve seen for a reasonable price. Just couldn’t leave it behind and have been wearing it ever since. This is the first time I want the cold to last a bit longer…
And finally H&M. I was only drawn to this jumper because of its colour, naturally, and I liked the fit but not the fabric. It feels quite plasticky, probably because it is, although it has some wool in it too. But the price is good, if you still want to dip a toe to the mustard yellow trend. I couldn’t find it online, but there is some similar here and there.
So yes, as I said, not too spring-y, but everything I need to wear right now.
Oh, oh and happy International Women’s Day! Wohooo!
