Sometimes the best collections are the ones with little advertising or at least not too much attention at all. Maybe it’s only me, but for me usually the more isn’t equal to merrier and the more avantgarde isn’t equal to better. Practical fashion always wins, I guess, in my book at least.
And this how we’ve got to Monse’s latest Fall/Winter collection, which didn’t include a runway or lots of long-legged models, but Erin Wasson in great outfits and with cool expressions and a piece of white background in front of a rather retro a carousel.
And yet, this isn’t your average minimalist fashion ‘show’, but fashion as its best. Beautiful golden warm colours for one are winner, the way these clothes are designed in a very deconstructed, layered fashion are exciting and the added sometimes mismatched plaid and newspaper prints are a Classic Trend or Trendy Classics with capitals nothing less.
I could wear all of these in a heartbeat. What about you?
