Gotta love SALES! Especially online ones, cos as you know by now, I hate the mess what’s in stores this time of the year, although I don’t deny, there is some marked down treasure which is worthy enough to conquer that before mentioned mess.
I’m not there yet though and not my best self yet when it comes to my health, but slowly getting there. It doesn’t prevent me from online shopping though, and I really really wanted a new chunky knit preferably in cream or off-white, basically something light in colour, but not bright white.
I don’t say this very often, but I didn’t even care about the fabric (so much). I mean, how difficult is to find a chunky knit with some natural fibres and reasonable price? As it turned out, very, very hard.
And then this beige marl one from La Redoute came into the picture with a pretty good £25 price tag and some wool and alpaca fibers and funky big bobbles on the sleeves.
This is the size Small, which is out of stock, but the rest of the sizes are still available. This time I also got it very fast, within few days which totally redeemed the brand after waiting more than 2 weeks for my cashmere jumper after Black Friday.
The only downside is, even though this is a lovely jumper with a very good price, is that it’s not the same as on the stock photos. It’s similar and have the same features but still, not the same (shorter for example). Not to mention the wool content is only 5% (instead of 25!), the alpaca only 3% according to the label, and that’s a cheat if you ask me.
It could have been returned but I love it anyway and it’s still much better than the rest of the 100% acrylic ones on the high street with a much more elevated price. So that’s that. If you know about other options, please let me know. I’m dying to know what I’m missing. Maybe I should learn knitting, lol. 🙂
