I know, I know, and believe me when I say I’m feeling guilty, as I haven’t shown you our ‘new’ flat yet, even though I kind of promised it. But also, there was not too much to see, we haven’t done or bought anything big in it yet due to those dirty finances. But what’s coming late will come eventually anyway, and having payed a short visit to Ikea, I decided to make a small look around about my favourite bits.
This is probably my favourite corner with two new beautiful additions. I have no idea what kind of plants are these but according to Ikea the bigger one is a Pachira Aquatica, Guinea chestnut and the one in the bigger golden pot is a Monstera, aka Swiss cheese plant. They also said they need moderate amount of light and water, so I believed them. I still want more (a Peace lily, a Yukka and a Pine, my wish list is endless really), but we’ll se how we get on with these first. 🙂
A new dedicated place for our watches and jewellery. I love this H&M tray so much.
Our Christmas tree from last year or two years ago, I’m not sure. Anyway, the thing is I quite like how people here decorating their home and three in early December, but that’s not a tradition I was growing up with, we do the tree only on Christmas Eve, so this is a half solution I came up with. The tree is here but it’s not Christmassy just yet.
As I said earlier, I’m not big with the festive decorations (except for Halloween), mainly because I find most of the Christmassy stuff very cheesy and sugary which I don’t want spend money on. A tiny bit of red and gold touch here and there is enough and will survive the holidays. The centre of the whole thing is the tree anyway.
Oh, and candles, and fairy lights and chocolate, biscuits and nuts! I cannot imagine winter without these so I bought a lot of them already, lol. And, we have still one week to go, yay!
How do you like my no deco-decoration?
