It doesn’t happen very often, but this particular day I was awaken by the thought, actually more like a crave of a new bag. This is not big news, by the way, as I’m constantly on the hunt for great but affordable handbags, but they are extremely difficult to find, and I’m not there yet (either mentally or budget wise, duh) to spend £1000+ on a designer one. Story of my life I guess.
I’m, now, keeping an eye on eBay as well, but nothing so far. But then I remembered this pretty cheap yet quite stylish and fairly practical bucket bag from Zara, and thought to check it out in the flesh. Now, I usually don’t spend on faux leather, but this was an emergency exception which had to be done.
So here we go, in Zara, I didn’t even check anything else. This bag is a faux patent leather one, and my reasoning was that one cannot tell the difference from the real deal anyway. Plus it’s black, ergo it goes with everything and has a shorter handle and a longer strap which are great. But, again, it’s black, and I wasn’t sure I was ready for another black bag, so didn’t buy it eventually. But I think it’s still cute and only 30 quid, so maybe this will change.
Then I remembered this burgundy bucket one (for £30 and available here in navy) from Topshop a while ago, when I was casually browsing as one does. I’m not gonna lie, didn’t really give a second thought this time, just bought it. Also, if you’re following me on Instagram you’ve seen it anyway. 🙂 I’ve been using it ever since and I’m seriously in love with it, the only minor downside is the black interior, which makes almost impossible to find my stuff, especially if they also happen to be black, which they are. Luckily it’s not too big though, and also has an inner pocket.
H&MIt’s always worth to go to H&M, if nothing else, for the great fitting rooms. 🙂 This was my outfit that day btw and probably the main thing here is this new, although vintage coat from eBay which I haven’t shown you yet. It has a yellowish colour, check print and was made in Hungary so basically has been waiting for me to find. 🙂 Also wore Zara jumper, Re/Done jeans, Office loafers and old PS11 bag. But if there one has to try on things as well. Especially if they’re so good as these corduroy pants in this russet colour (matching with my hair!). Now I really regret not buying the matching blazer but now I’m determined to find it. Needless to say, I bought these. Then picked up this great camel jumper which believe it or not is full wool and cashmere mix and only costs £40. It’s big and heavy but oh, so worth it. Also comes in red btw. 🙂And I’m also never not gonna try good looking jeans. These are pretty good with a vintage wash and fit for only £35, not that I need them. Didn’t buy them, but at least I know, therefore you know too, that I need my normal size, the length is fine and fits like as pictured. Another
camel dark beige jumper, this one is a cotton one with ribbons in the sleeves. It’s not bad, definitely lighter and price wise is a bit better (£35) than the wool number, but I’m not sure whether those ties would drive me crazy. I only tried it on and they came undone, so probably they would, duh.
So this is it folks, what do you think?
