With all the vintage/retro fling going on it was only a matter of time that somebody comes out with a collection inspired by the Queen of Hearts, Princess Diana, and I don’t mind that one bit. I still remember the sadness and grief when she tragically died, and even though I was too young to completely comprehend that time, I’ve got a much better understanding now.
“I think she’s a muse for the modern woman, young and old, 16 to 60,” explained Off-White designer Virgil Abloh. “She’s the figure in the back of the head of a generation: a powerful, independent and kind woman, and I wanted to pay tribute to that. And what a nice tribute indeed. The inspiration is clear with all the adaptation of her iconic outfits, but still very clean, a bit sexy, bit edgy, the exact way we, modern women like it.
Probably nobody gets surprised at this point when I say, I effing love this last look (the original is also saved on my Pinterest btw), this blue denim wash is seriously the best with everything, or by itself really. Also, young Kaia Gerber had a very good run this fashion month, hadn’t she.
Have a good weekend everybody!
