Don’t know about you, but I always have mixed feelings when I see the new collection from JW Anderson at the very first time. Then it’s always growing on me slowly but steadily. I’m not sure why is that, maybe I like the hype more than the actual design and styling. Who knows, but on the other hand I totally get that aforementioned hype.
The collections are usually something we have never seen before, they’re so simple, yet interesting at the same time, that it’s speaking to us on the most basic level. Am I making any sense here? Please, excuse me, I’m not in the best mood, I’ve got a bloody cold again and now I’m sitting on my couch in my PJ-s, surrounded with tissues and medicines, while outside is almost summer – Indian summer, I guess -, and Paris Fashion Week is running already. Not a good combo.
So I rather let the designer speak instead of me with his very own words. He said this collection is “the calm before the storm. Media makes us hysterical and sometimes you have to take off the veneer and go back to basics, to things you know and things you can use and let it pass by you.” Maybe this statement doesn’t offer much more clue or sense either, but here you have the photos then. 😀
The thing is, everything looks really comfy and pretty natural, which is always a plus. Also, I’m pretty sure we’re gonna see these boots a lot in the near future, they have something fashionista worthy in them. 🙂
What do you think?
