I don’t know you, but I always feel the urge of shopping before travelling somewhere. It’s like I’d have nothing to wear, which is far from the truth, and yet here we are. I won’t punish myself too hard though, now I’m able two think twice before I’d pull the trigger, and fortunately, I’m getting better and better of being critical of what I really need, will love to wear and last but not least, I also can afford. Here is my thinking method once again with all the stuff I finally ended up to try on.
This was my outfit that day btw, and as it was mild but sunny, I wanted to wear lighter colours, so I opted for double denim (H&M and Re/Done), white Urban Outfitters tee, my red Balenciaga City bag and white classic Supergas. I have this love/hate relationship with camisoles, yet I couldn’t resist this black one with mini white polka dots, and small buttons all over the front. Needless to say, I had to buy it and would recommend to anybody who likes camis or/and polka dots. And finally, FINALLY I found a non-denim pair of pants which I love and actually cannot wait to wear. I’d define these as the
cook’s summer pants, and even though I don’t really like to wear black in summer, the white stripes make all the difference. They also have a more structured, high waistline which I just adore. Again, full recommendation! If you’ve been following me for a while that I love 1, basic t-shirts, 2, red 3, a good print 4, cherries/ and 5, the French language (I only wish I could speak it). What is this if not fate? This is btw the smallest size and it reads Mon Cheri, which at least I understand despite of my basically non-existent French knowledge. Similar summer pants like a bit above, but inverse in colours and Petite in size. The difference is pretty obvious. And even though it may be seem this is the right length, I cannot stand when I have to keep pulling down the hems of my pants, which these ones did from the very first moments. Also, I think I prefer the bigger amount of black.Ok, actually this dress was my original interest, which btw I already have in red, but ind the end was (almost) the only thing I left there. I’m really, really trying to resist the temptation to buy the same stuff in different colours, and this time I was successful. It’s still a nice dress though, but it seems a bit longer, or is that only me?You also may know, I’m not a big fan of sales, but if I find something for the first glance, I’ll give it a go. This time it was these satin ballerinas, which were only £10 I think, and weren’t bad, actually I pretty dig this colour, but I wasn’t sure how comfy they would be, neither the satin fabric nor the ballerina style is not too promising if you ask me, but sure they looked weird at my heels.
Anyway, I’m really happy for everything I was able to buy, I think these thing will come with me to Hungary too. I hope the weather will be better then, as it’s a 38-40 Celsius heatwave right now (while here it’s under 20 and bloody never ending rain), fingers and toes crossed!
What do you think?
