New shopping stroll post which is pretty exciting I guess, but I’m gonna reveal right now I bought nothing. Nothing at all! But it’s only matter of time, so I think I can show you some thing soon enough. 😛
So the main reason of this stroll (on the first day) was this very dress, which I’d ordered says before I picked up. It seemed like a really good deal, pretty, red, floral print, viscose fabric and a pretty good discount price, but it was rather a disappointment. The dress itself is cute enough, sure, the fit is not bad either, but it’s been so poorly made and probably flash more skin than I’d like to. I returned it, but wanted to show it anyway.
So the next day, when I had more time, I went back to look around even more and I wore this. It was ugly and rainy that day, so I had to dress up properly. I wore tee from Brandy Melville, jacket from Topshop, Re/Done jeans, Vans Old Skools and Balenciaga bag. Plus my coral mac from Sainbury’s to shield myself from the rain, naturally.I’ve needed a ribbed vest for so long, and I thought this is the one, because the fit was nice and colour is more creamy off-white, but no. I think I don’t like this (viscose again) fabric when it’s so close to the body. Why is it so difficult to find a simple vest these days? Oh why?
Also tried this khaki short, mainly because I liked both the linen fabric and the more tailored fit, but I think this paper bag waist is not for me. I found out not so long ago, that I (probably) have inverted triangle body shape, which is not so shocking actually, but still, and even though I have a more defined waist, pants and shorts cannot stay place on my waist, which results this weird baggy crotch situation and basically no waist at all. But at least I learned my lesson, I guess.
See? Same thing is happening with these pants too, even though I tried my best to pull them up as much as I could. Just no.
So this is the
Balenciaga’s Zara’s newest section and I think this picture says more than I could. I really dig the new Balenciaga aesthetic, but this us ugly and cheap (looking) as… anyway, moving on.
I gave one more try to the paper bag waist, because I had to take off my pants anyway, so why not. This is a much better fit I have to say. I think it has something to with that rope belt, it can be tied nicer and tighter which results a nicer look. Didn’t buy it though, but would recommend if you’re into them.Ah, and this dress, it almost gave me a headache. If it’s similar it’s probably because it’s the same like this red one, only black, shorter and cutely printed. Which would be just enough reason to buy, but – and here comes the twist-, it only comes at the Petite section. I’m rather petite, so it shouldn’t be an issue, yet it is, because I don’t like when a dress is this darn short. I still love it though, and could wear it styled exactly like this on the photo. Too bad, but getting over it…
Another thing I lamented a lot on. White ribbed tee, not vest, but close enough. Didn’t buy it as I have a really similar one, except that’s shorter and not ribbed, but keep thinking about it. It’s on sale btw for around £5 and available in a lots of colours. Don’t be surprised if I go back for it and a pair (or two more) footsies. If only they were available. It’s not the end of summer yet, or what’s happening?
So what do you think of these clothes? Let me know.
