I said at Dior everything was about the tailoring, beautifully sharp lines, mostly in grey accentuating the feminine body, here with Giambattista Valli the Couture is all about that princess feeling, big tulle or lace gowns, floral embellishment , pretty girls in pink. It’s not that this or that is better or worse, it’s only different, which is a good thing by itself.
What makes this collection outstanding though, that’s the amazing details. Contrasting red lips, beautifully constructed fabrics and pretty ballet flats. None of these is a new thing, but combined together it feels interesting and fresh, not to mention it’s utterly gorgeous. And who would mind being a princess or a ballet dancer for a day (or two) anyway?
Now I really want new ballet shoes (too)… 🙂 What about you?
