I’m not finished with summer yet, therefore I keep looking for summery clothes, especially dresses. The supply is big in every price range, which is good because I have more chance, but also, it takes a shitload of time and patience to select out the shitty and possible, but eventually rather not ones. Anyway, I’m acting as a pre-filter here, which is not just good for me, but hopefully useful for you too. 🙂
First things first, my outfit that day was this: Topshop jacket, Brandy Melville tee, Balenciaga bag, Re/Done jeans and Superga sneakers. Nothing extra, but comfortable with my usual favourites.
I’m so indecisive about this dress. On one hand I love the colour, fabric and material, on the other, however, this floral print is a bit too much, too sweet with all the ruffles, and even though the fabric has a nice soft touch, it has small woven horizontal lines which leaves question marks in me, if that makes any sense. Anyway, for almost 60 quid it should be nice in every way I guess… still not sure, but that’s never a good sign.
Another summery red dress this time sans floral. This one is a simple pull on style which is totally fine by me, until the fit nice, that actually is, but it could be longer. Again, I’m not sure, I liked it, but not enough to spend money (around £50?) on it.
I didn’t hesitate much on this tee though. As you might notice, I love Brandy Melville’s band/graphic t-shirts, and this one is nothing but perfect. Not that I’m that big fan of Joy Division, but the print is nice, so who cares?
Here is a question; is it too early to think about boots? Even if the mentioned (ankle) boots are white? One thing is certain though, if that split wasn’t there I’d be totally into these. The fairly slant block heel is perfect, the quality is good, the leather buttery soft. I think I’ll give a second (or third) thought while approaching autumn.
Also bought these bras. I don’t know about you, but for me it’s pretty hard to find nice bralettes with acceptable price, but these fit the bill, so I bought both colour ways. I love the feminine lace and the rather sporty stripes together. Also, I found out a while ago, that these can go under (ok, almost) everything, so totally worth the price (£14).
You might think, Jeez Andi, another red dress? But you know what, I love red dresses and won’t stop until I find every good ones. This dress was among ‘the last chance to buy’ stuff, and trying on something doesn’t cost a thing, so why not. Quite happy I did, for less money I love my red similar Topshop dress much more. However, if you’re very into buttons and/or pockets, opt for this one. I tried the smallest size here.
And the last dress (today :), which was at the before mentioned section and again the smallest size. I think, if I had to buy one, this one would be it, because I like it and it’s different from everything I own. Won’t buy it though, I rather keep searching something better or nothing at all. It may seem I have no idea what I really want, but believe me, I’ll know when I see the one.
Do you like my purchases and/or the rest?
PS: I’ve been in H&M, Mango and Uniqlo too, but found nothing nice this time. But I’ve been avoiding Zara recently. I just cannot bare the crowd and mess there sorry, I don’t think it’s worth either the time or the effort.
