Ok, this is the last (is it?) Resort collection for a while at least, as I really have to move on to Couture Week, but I found this and I couldn’t resist, so here we go. It’s Johanna Ortiz a Columbian designer, who I’ve never heard before, which is a shame because these clothes are kinda amazing.
South American summery good I guess. No mixing and matching here with other seasons, in order to raise the clothes’ shelf/hanger life, this is a good old, traditional Resort collection for longer getaways in wintertime, and I don’t mind it at all, as this is a great inspirational piece for the right season. Not to mention the beautiful photography.
When it comes to the designs, it’s full with feminine details, like ruffles, bows and ties, puffer sleeves and beautiful prints. We have everything here from stripes and checks, to florals and paisley. The colours are on point too, I’m very into everything white and red (especially blouses and dresses) lately and there is no lack of these hues here, with some additional black and green. Everything you need for a summer party or a great getaway.
Oh, and have I mentioned the beautiful photography yet? It may be raining outside, but inside we’ve got this little pocketful of sunshine. It really made my day, yours?
