It took me more than a year to find nice espadrilles, since I laid my eyes first on them here in curtesy of Jeanne Damas. It seemed pretty impossible to find nice but affordable ones with lace ups, because even though high fashion street has had espadrilles for years, none of them hit the level of the French girls approved ones. Ok, Castaners maybe, but those are quite pricy and not too easy to come by.
But then few weeks ago, H&M figured it out. These ones thick all the right boxes and since I tried them on first, I’m hooked. They really go with everything from jeans to summer dresses and ooze summer vibes that wanna be oozed this time of the year.
Ok, I admit it takes time to adjust the lace ups to your feet, and they might be not the most comfortable first, but it’s worth the wait and effort, because not just hold your feet, but have the leg lengthening effect I’m always aiming for.
And then here I’m wearing this new vintage like t-shirt, which probably doesn’t need too much explanation. It’s soft and white with retro/feminist vibes. And goes perfectly with my old Daniel Wellington by the way. If it wasn’t meant to be I don’t know what is.
The rest can be familiar too. Double again, vintage (like) denim, pre-loved red Balenciaga City bag and suspiciously cheap, yet extra cool cat-eye sunglasses from eBay. All of these to have an ultimate confusion when somebody wants to guess which era or mental hospital I came from. Yes, my middle name is Captain Chaos for a good reason.
Sunglasses – eBay, tee and belt – Urban Outfitters, denim jacket and espadrilles – H&M, jeans – Re/Done, bag – Balenciaga, watch – Daniel Wellington
