It seems Karl Lagerfeld cannot make any mistake. Having left behind the future, he went back to the past and he didn’t stop till the ancient Greek culture. It is a smart move, but hey, having discovered the space what could have been his next move?
Don’t get me wrong, even though I don’t like Chanel that much, I quite like this new resort collection, partly because as I said earlier, the best collections (in my eyes) are based on either nature or fashion history. Also there is no denying he’s genius when it comes to combine Coco Chanel’s heritage (tweed customs, quilted bags on chain, little black dress, pearl necklaces or even bijous, the list goes on and on) well, with anything.
This collection is beautiful and only worth for praises on the most artsy level, I mean if you’re like me and don’t/wouldn’t buy everything that comes with the double C. Also I’d put my finger, these lace up sandals going to be big this and the next summers.
Well done Karl, well done! And now I’d love to see a collection inspired by the ancient Egypt culture, can I pretty please?
