Probably it’s the ‘new season’ but I’m really in THE shopping mood right now, even though it’s hard to decide whether I need scarves or sunglasses at the moment. I mean it’s pretty obvious I have to wear scarves, but i wanna wear sunnies and alike instead.
Anyway, shopping or strolling in stores for fun is good either way, so this is exactly what I did (again). More specifically I was really after some nice and walkable pumps, so lets see what I found.
This was my outfit of that day, and I warned you in advance you was going to see this corset-like bodice a lot, and here we go again. This time with band tee from Brandy Melville, jeans from Re/Done and Vans Old Skool trainers.
Ok, I have to share this story; I had ordered and cancelled these jeans not once but twice. I was really curious of the fit, but I didn’t want to pay or wait for the refund for weeks, so finally gave in and tried them in store.
These are called 501 Skinny (high rise with 5 buttons!) and this is the Old Hangouts version of them, for your information there is a few, but these ones have no elastane in them at all, which, somehow, intrigues me on the most basic level.
I didn’t buy them though, because I have problems with those massive rips, maybe I’m just too old for them, I’m not sure, but didn’t want to pay ~100 quid whatsoever. Also I tried the lightest ones too, but those were so bad, I didn’t want to take pictures at all.
Really quick stroll in H&M on my way back to Oxford Street. I didn’t give up the hope of finding a summer blazer yet, but I’m not sure what I want exactly, but I’m pretty sure this one wasn’t it. On the other hand, at least it was pretty cheap (around £30 I think).
Aka the more expensive H&M :). I don’t know about you, but I like going around and check all the pretty accessories, even though I don’t want to buy anything. This time I tried these two shades, cos I’m really into tortoise retro ones, and these were the best.
Keeping up with the sunnies themes, I tried these ones at Mango. I loved the oval shape, the khaki colour and the price (around £18), but I didn’t like how see trough they were. If I wear shades, I do it for a reason, you know.
Probably you can tell at this point, I’m not a big fan of fitting rooms. Sometimes they’re inevitable, sure, but I have to be really into those things, which for I’m willing to wait in the queue. This time I did it though, because nobody was there, but didn’t like either of these thing on me. I like the idea of this linen top, but couldn’t wear it IRL, and the pants were too big. About the shoes…
Well, I quite liked them, but the £80 price tag put me off, so probably I don’t like that much, do I? I still prefer ankle boots or slippers, this half solution is not for me I guess, but they’re spot on and the quality seemed pretty good as well.
Yes, I only tried these, because they’re white. I have a fancy for white shoes nowadays, but not because I adore them so much, but because I don’t wan’t to wear black for some reason and red is a bit more difficult to style. Plus nothing else is available right now, in my experience. Nothing yet, can you believe? Me neither…
Maybe these affordable (£30) silver shoes? I still think this is the most flattering fit of all, but usually the most uncomfortable as well. Especially if they’re made of rigid plastic, but what do I want for this little money? Moving on…
Ok, I have to correct myself, these are the most uncomfortable shoes ever. I barely could put my feet in it for this quick shot. Maybe they would work better on narrower feet, I’m not sure. They’re Balenciaga worthy beautiful though. 🙂
Now these white pumps fit the bill more than the ones by Mango. They are really nice and trendy, have short heels, made of leather and have a friendlier price tag with £52. Also they’re available in 3 different colours…
Black, which were out of the question from the very first moment, those white and these red suede. And this is the point where my debating (with myself) started. I need more neutral pumps, but I love the red much better. But I have the very similar red ankle boots, but these are suede, which usually are comfier. I want both of them? But that’s madness, what if I won’t be wearing them at all? Long story short, I went with the red ones (my usual size) eventually. I just love them more and they work better with my ever pale skin colour. Now lets see what happens.
What do you think about these things?
PS: Please Topshop, I know it’s spring/summer? time in theory, but please make those Malbec boots in white as well. Thanks very much in advance.
