I’m not sure why, but every season must start with accessories shopping. I guess, it’s because I realised you can make basically everything more season appropriate with the right shoes and bags. In summertime that especially a good thing, as everything is a bit cheaper compared to the winter counterparts.
(Leather jacket and tee Zara, jeans – Re/Done, woven bag and slippers – Mango)
As you know I’ve had my eyes on this woven bag for a while, and finally I could get my hands on it few days ago in Mango at Oxford Circus.
It’s pretty good if you ask me, not too big or small with just enough space and playful pompoms. It came with a long strap attached to it, but I instantly removed it, because it’s why too long on my frame and quite frankly I rather wear it on my crock of my arm or in my hand. The best thing is though, that the pouch which I bought specifically for my Balenciaga bags, makes a perfect fit in this bag too, which means easy stuff transfer and extra pockets and dividers as the bag provides none.
The slippers are really good too. I won’t lie, I’m a bit afraid of the light beige suede, but I sprayed protector on it and try not to care. On the other hand, I love this colour, it’s neutral but non black and a close match to my skin colour, and the woven style means extra ventilation in the summer, I hope. 🙂 If you’re interested, I bought my usual size and the price was £40.
To make my summer footwear collection even more complete, I bought these sandals too, which I found in Zara. It was a total surprise, as I haven’t seen them online, just a similar pair in white. But these are much better. Much much better.
(Jeans and sandals – Zara)
First of all, they came in the perfect neutral khaki, secondly I love these straps more, and finally I love the lace up detail over the buckle, which means bit longer legs (optically at least) and 2 different ways of tying as you can see on these photos. The heel hight seems ok too, but I haven’t worn them yet on the street, so will see what happens.
Love everything I bought and cannot wait to wear them (some of them again), just please London, keep up with this beautiful weather.
Happy weekend guys!
