It’s that time of the year again when it’s time to check what retailers are offering for the next few months. When it’s finally time to reorganise our wardrobe, bring spring/summery clothes forward, ‘mariekondoing’ everything else out and looking up for new gems.
I’ve started with Zara, because, you know, if you’re not fast enough you can say goodbye forever for the coolest things. Also, it seems this is my new relationship with Zara, hunting down what I like in the beginning of the season and waiting for the next. I’m perfectly fine with it though, so no complain here.
About the newest collections; it’s a lot of stuff as usual, and it’s not worth to go trough all, so I usually look up for the things and trends I like and check the usual categories which I usually adore here, namely shoes, bags and blazers. And maybe some accessories if I’m really into something. I couldn’t find that much and a personal visit would reduce this selection even more, but the prices are still good, just as the trend-following/copycat mechanism, so it’s a good thing to keep our eye open. Just in case, you know. 🙂
Lets start with these jeans. Lately I’m not so into Zara’s jeans (and more into Re/Dones), but these two picked my attention. They are part of the ‘Real’ collection, which is the most genuine of their concepts, honouring the roots of denim-wear, as they say. Maybe this is just good marketing, but both of these jeans look nice with high rise and made of 100% cotton for around 40 quid per each, which is a good deal nowadays, especially if you’re not so good at vintage seeking. I will check these out for sure.
I blame Balenciaga for adoring this little pink suede bag with rhinestones. It’s so not me, and I don’t want to imagine the consequences of light suede paired with dark denim but I love it nonetheless, would add so much character to anything.
Another big trend is woven basket bags, and this is a rare piece on the affordable market, which I like and seems more wearable the the pink one. Le sigh…
The only nice gingham stuff on the site (ok, there is a mini dress too, but it’s not for me), but I’m afraid out of stock, maybe they will come back.
And fuchsia satin pumps which are belong to the same category as the pink bag above, but then again, there’s something in them which I’m obsessed with.
And finally the peek of that before mentioned reasonless stupid fancy. Because why on this sweet earth would I need dark floral sock boots for spring or anytime of the year for that matter, but they would look oh so good with those ripped vintage like jeans and simple white tee. Luckily (sadly?) they’re really hot cookies therefore out of stock, so I’m safe for a while.
Plus the only one top I like. Duh, I mean, the colouring and print, but not he fit. I’m really hoping this bodysuit trend will go down now, I really don’t get it at all.
So that’s all folks. I really need to take a closer look soon and will share all my experience with you. Also maybe I’ll find something else too, after all, some things look better in real life than on the photos. It’s rare, but could happen.
Wish me luck!
