Before heading into spring with full swung, there is another transitional-inspirational post from me to you. Transitional in the sense that F/W 2017 collections were presented late winter, and the weather didn’t really spare either New York (blizzard, snow, mud), nor Paris (rain, wind, floods), fashion attendees tried to dress up according to the latest trends, incorporating a bit of spring, due to the upcoming spring. 🙂
This means we saw a lot of trench coats, denim jackets, hoodies, pumps mostly and shockingly without socks, and of course a lot of staples like deconstructed (well, everything but especially) jeans, sock boots, soft or vinyl leather pieces and checks. And colours like vivid reds, blues, greens, yellows, purples, oranges and greens, almost everything is here. Adding something extra (or two) to the basics and neutrals have never been so chic.
The deconstructed/vintage-esque trend is bigger than ever with everything or anything Balenciaga or Vetements. These are probably the most characteristic brands at the moment, but we can spot some Gucci, Celine, Loewe, Dior as well. Or maybe it’s just me, as these are the things which got my eyes, and similar when somebody is stating the orange is the new black, what will never be true (if I had to pick I’d opt for something light neutral, like tan/beige/taupe/khaki for example, or colour wise it would be either purple or red). But I’ve never been really fond of orange (or purple for that matter), so who am I to question. Luckily we’re all different, and even more so, it’s trendy to show. 🙂
What do you think?
Btw, you find all of these pictures on my Pinterest page. 😉
