And I’m back from Paris. A bit late, a bit tired, yet empowered and delighted with everything I’ve seen and experienced. Paris is no less than beautiful, mesmerising even. It’s no wonder a lot of people got under its charm, everything in it, and I mean everything from the arts and architecture trough the language to the cuisine charges your heart and soul. On the other hand, probably I’m a bit biased, as it reminded me of Budapest. And well, it’s the true fashion capital of the world, which leads us to PFW latest precious piece, the Loewe collection by JW Anderson.
There is lots of stories about the pitch black venue and chilly temperature which welcomed the audience. It’s said it was like going into a wine cellar on purpose, which is not that bad, given the fact these conditions can sharpen the senses. Small but important details which can change and drive the mood.
The clothes are nice and pretty wearable with a lot of long dresses, handkerchief hemlines and amazingly soft leathers, everything we would expect from the Spanish brand and some more unexpected elements like checks and polka dot prints. JW Anderson is an expert on how to play with balance, how to push boundaries without being too less or too much. Firstly I wasn’t even sure whether I like these clothes, than it has slowly but surely grown on me, and now I adore the amazing creativity and great craftsmanship.
It’s amazing how some designer can play with your senses, isn’t it?
