I don’t know about you, but for me Isabel Marant lost her mojo somewhere on the way. That’s exactly the reason I haven’t post anything from her until now, and quite frankly I was hesitating about this one too. Don’t get me wrong it’s not bad, moreover, the first two looks and all of the boots are good, I mean really good, but the rest is just yeah, it’s fine.
Or maybe it’s really just me, and I got blinded with all the luscious colours, fabrics, prints and/or tailoring other fashion houses have had for a while now. Meh. But on the other hand the styling is on point with wide belts on waists, the before mentioned slouchy booties with handkerchief dresses or the wrap over the stripe shirt, but it’s nothing new or what’s my biggest problem, nothing really fresh.
Or maybe it’s just the lights, and everything is superb in real life, but on these picture everything, but especially the full dark outfits look just muted, dusty and foggy. Or I’m just not in the mood. Who knows? But the first two looks, both the dresses and boots (and the combo of these) deserved this entry, so here we are.
What do you think? Do you like it?
