Colours, colours and even more strong colours with the one which just got official acknowledgement by Pantone, and which is named Nicoll blue after the suddenly died English designer, Richard Nicoll. This particular colour opened the Roksanda show with a nice tunic dress, matching waist – obi style – belt and boots. It’s a beautiful colour if you ask me and it’s an even cooler tribute to the designer who was famous to have sky blue eyes and wore blue all the time.
Aside this nice shade of blue, however, most of the looks were red and all the combination of all the shades of red from faded, trough vivid to dark. Whether Roksanda is/was angry/passionate/in love or whatever these warm colours present, maybe will never be known, but it’s making attention for sure especially with all the shiny patents and fluid silhouettes of the long dresses.
When it comes to the style, oriental, nomadic and seventies references were mixed trough and trough the whole collection, creating a amazingly smooth, beautiful and seemingly comfortable mixture which yells for wearing all the time until the end of times.
Amen to that.
