I always loved Ulyana Sergeenko. Not because our style is so similar, actually she’s too feminine and ladylike for my taste (sound familiar?), but it’s undeniable she has a unique taste and she has the talent to show it on the runway too.
And here we are again, if I had to say one word about this collection, it would be feminine. From the ladylike office wear and sharp tailoring, trough the moderate gowns, to the negligees and robes, everything is pretty feminine with the focus on the waist. Although she is definitely familiar with empire waist too, her true characteristic pieces are corsets and bustiers with flowerlike details, which sure, won’t be enough on bigger breasts but on supermodel (philanthropist and happy mother) Natalia Vodianova it just works.
What I still like the most is though, that’s Ulyana’s unique style. I’m not sure how could I describe it, but let me try; maybe the best word is Russian in the best possible way. Besides it’s feminine and elegant, it’s still has some sexuality. It’s full with small details like feathers, flower applications, embroidery, while it doesn’t show more skin than its necessary to be pretty. It’s super feminine but not tacky. I think what got me here is the combination of balance and uniqueness, which works not matter what.
And Natalia Vodianova is still beautiful, isn’t she?
