And today something bit different. Still Couture, yet different enough, still familiar things, but unusual combinations. 80s and biker influence, (half) gowns, vintage (like) jeans or extra minis and shorts, and the combination of all of these. Great, ha? Actually Karlie Kloss already experimented with this look at the S/S 2017 Fashion Week in Paris, but those jeans were by Re/Done and the crystal embellished top/gown or gown top – what you prefer -, by Moschino.
So actually nothing new (again), plus I sense some Saint Laurent/Hedi Slimane/Anthony Vaccarello thing going on here with all of the 80s inspired mini dresses and jeans with fancy tops, but I don’t really mind, as I LOVE high rise vintage jeans especially with girly tops. Fact. Full stop. Plus I’m pretty sure young fashion loving celebrities will love this thing on the red carpet. Not to mention the mini dresses with maximum one puffer sleeve. Mark my word!
Plus statement earrings (if nothing else even better), zippers, barely there sandals and metal and patent remain a thing in the next season too. I love where fashion is (not) heading at the moment, do you? Trends and therefore clothes for season, after season after season, and I’m not bored a bit. It seems we’re finally over the peak and it feels so good. Especially if it’ll be a thing to wear recycled jeans on the red carpet too.
Is this just me or Kendall Jenner looks like Wonder Woman here?
