Oh Ellery, what can I say? This is beautiful, it truly shone this ugly gloomy day in January. Where should I start? The colours, the jewellery, the tailoring, the fabrics, the details, every one of them is great. And so so inspiring!
The first look is my absolute favourite, I was sold right there. Interestingly enough when one of the outfits is so strong, I know immediately I have to feature it here, and I’ll look for other strong looks, doesn’t matter if I don’t like those so much. Actually they’re not bad, not bad at all, but when something struck a nerve so preciously, it immediately blurs the rest. Something, which is also true when it comes to the great designers, or to anything in life really. If you were swooned more than once, you expect no less the next time.
But back to the first look which I could wear just the way it is. That coat is the best, something which would be so great with my complexion, those patent boots, which are a bit too high, but still patent is such a great match here. The gold statement earring, the white shirt with the matching buttons. It’s like an uniform as it’s greatest.
And then the rest of the looks. Bell sleeves, velvet, extra wide and flare trousers, an oversized bomber jacket, pointy toe ankle boots with shorter heels, the exposed zipper and button details, everything works. The tailoring seems so sharp and flawless and – I think – that’s enough for today’s happiness. Really nice collection!
Should I mention how great is that autumn coloured background wall? It makes every look better, doesn’t it?
