If there is one classically cool or coolly (is this a word?) classic – what you prefer – colour combination that’s black-white-red. And the emphasis is on the red, as we now that black&white is the most classic combination ever which you can’t go wrong. That’s a fact. Full stop.
However, if we put some interesting colour to this mix – lets say red, then the equation is totally different. Red is such a strong colour filled with mixed feelings like love, anger, passion and power, and probably this is the exact reason why I love it so much.
I love green too, but that’s a total different story, it’s much easier and way more obvious if that makes any sense. But I always gravitated towards more complex and therefore more interesting things so maybe that’s just me. And that’s right.
With this outfit the start point was my red boots. And it could been just the red boots in terms of colour, but when it’s winter, an extra layer is always required, not to mention the before mentioned interesting factor. So here is the question, if you could give your outfit a bit of rock&roll touch, why the hell wouldn’t you? It’s just a rhetorical question, actually this outfit would completely work without the shirt too.
Speaking about complex things, I still love the fact, I’m able to pull of a bomber jacket in December but on the other hand; what the f*ck?! It’s December. All right, I know, I know, this is London, but still I’d imagine the first month of winter, and Christmas a bit differently (cold and white?), even though I love sunny dry weather. And again, those mixed feelings…
Bomber jacket and shirt – H&M, jumper – Zara, jeans – Re/Done, boots – Topshop, bag – Proenza Schouler
I hope your Christmas was marvellous despite the weather, whether you like early spring/late autumn vibes on Christmas Eve or not, it’s over anyway, bah :(.
But now preparation for New Year’s Eve, because this is not the end yet. Do you know what you’ll be wearing yet?
