It’s almost Christmas, can you believe it? Me neither…
My mean hubby already set my interest with his secret present, and now I cannot wait. Not necessarily because of the present itself, but because of pure curiosity (it’s like a splint in my brain, really). But ok, ok the present itself too…
Anyway, if Christmas, then festive season and then a collection which can be a good inspiration source for everyone who won’t spend the holidays at home in his sweatpants/pyjamas. There’s nothing wrong with that by the way, it’s one of my favourite leisure activity too. 😀
I’m wearing my super appropriate red plaid pyjama pants in this time of the year, and nothing can beat when after we’re ready with everything pre-Xmas (cleaning, grocery, cooking, baking, decorating), we exchange gifts in our pyjamas and maybe with a glass/shot (oops) something. And if you’re confused at this point, we celebrate on Christmas Eve, because oh yes, that weird nation we are.
All right, all right, sorry, but it’s difficult not to think about Christmas at the moment. What I wanted to talk about, is this (for me) unfamiliar designer, Adam Lippes, and his Pre-Fall collection, which is pretty festive if you ask me. I could imagine almost all of these outfits to a Christmas/New Year party, and not because these clothes scream for my name, but because I love (again) the unexpected combinations he played with.
Simple neutral clothes with vibrant fuchsia satin booties (if these can’t spice up your life, I don’t know what could) and black or heavily printed leopard and floral clothes with white ankle boots. Let me repeat this; WHITE ANKLE BOOTS! Even though I’m not a dress or a floral print liking person (or a tall one for that matter, duh), I could rock that last look just the way it is. Yes, accessories make all the difference.
Do you also love when inspiration comes from the most unexpected places? Yeah, me too.
