All right, here we go. If I want to be quite frank, my first intention wasn’t be to buy checked trousers, more like a coat or blazer, and I tried more than one on, moreover I tried them more than once just to be sure, but they’re just so overwhelmingly, annoyingly big on my rather short frame, that I couldn’t spend that money which I don’t like entirely. I guess it’s a good thing, who knows when you can find the perfect one if you find it at all.
Anyway, I was browsing around in Mango when I stumbled upon these trousers and I had to try them. The proof of the pudding is in the eating after all. If I like them on me, I’ll buy them, especially when I’m willing to stand in the snaking queue at the fitting room. If I don’t, I’ll forget them, at least until I found one pair which I like enough to try again.
So from now now the story is obvious, I guess. They have a long rise, cropped hem, nice checked print and a good price tag (£30 if you’re interested). I love them on and not just because of its features, but because the waist is small enough, yay :), and because it’s sooo comfortable.
And do you remember these red booties? When I said I was thinking about the black patent ones too. Well, I couldn’t shake them out of my head, I when I bought the pants, I though they would make such a great outfit together. And with all of my jeans and probably with anything else really, which I don’t really have, but at least I have options which is a good thing. And they have the ability to make everything edgier.
Plus there is one more thing here, not that I have to have so many
reasons excuses, but still. It’s so difficult to find nice patent, isn’t it? They’re either too cheap looking or too expensive, or the heels are too high, or they’re way uncomfortable.
And finally one more pair of boots. I know, I know, it seems a lot of pair of ankle boots, but when these are so good too. I had found these boots on Topshop’s website back on Black Friday, when they were 20% off, and then I totally forgot to show them to you. I was thinking on them for a while, when the sale just sealed the deal. They’re perfect from every way. The shape, the heels, the butter soft pale grey leather, the slightly longer shaft and the sock like comfort were just to good to say no.
Maybe if I had found a nice pair of white boots I’d have gone with those, but I belive it’s better this way. I mean, I love the white boot trend on others, but it’s not for me, I’d be so anxious all the time to spoil them, plus the shape must have been really specific (something like my snake skin boots), not to mention the price and material. These are really pale anyway, which means I still have to be cautios, but probably not that much like with pure white boots, but they’re neutral enough to go with anything.
So what do you think about my new purchases? Which boots do you like more?
