Oh good(?) old times, when I was wearing tracksuits in elementary almost every day. Was it trendy back then? Actually I don’t really remember, it was in the early 90s back in Hungary, so fashion wasn’t the first priority for my parents (or for me), but I felt good for sure.
Yes, it’s not sexy, it’s not even feminine, but it’s comfy and now trendy (again?) at the very same time. These days trendy comfort is the key, because why not? If you’re familiar with Leandra Medine’s work and motto, you already know wearing what you like and feel comfortable in (aka not intended man repelling) is the way for modern women.
Ok, it’s not for everyday and it’s definitely not for the office, but what could be better then oversized tracksuits on a long flight or on a lazy weekend? On the other hand – of course – fashion is never that simple. It gives with one hand and takes away with the other. Why?
Because you cannot really feel comfortable from head to toe. I mean, if you wanna be really trendy, you’re gonna wear your tracks with heels. Boots, pumps or sandals, doesn’t matter. But they have to be feminine or even sexy (you see?). Ok, if your pants are wide enough and you’re slender enough, you can get away with anything (as usual), and girls on the shorter side (hello world!) can cheat a bit with middle heel sock boots. Close enough I guess.
Put on your bomber or puffer jacket, a feminine boxy bag and you’re set to go wherever you dare. Would you dare?
Have a great Friday evening and comfy weekend guys!
