For a while now I have a thing for non black shoes, and especially ankle boots, as always in this time of the year. On fashion week everybody wore white booties, but I don’t know, I wasn’t entirely sure in the colour white. It gets dirty in a minute, so it’s just too much nuisance for me, I guess.
On the other hand sneak skin is kinda perfect. It’s a print after all including more hues from the darker ones to the lightest, so dirt and scratches won’t be so obvious either. But still, it’s on the lighter side and a statement by itself.
I had two options in mind; one pair from Topshop and an other pair by Office. The Topshop ones (above) have higher sock like shaft, square toes and higher block heels, while the Office ones (below) have shorter and wider shaft, pointy toes, shorter but still block heels, and a rather shiny finish. The prices were similar (£89 vs £78 I think).
I had to see both of them in person and on me, and finally I went for the pointy Office ones. I liked the shape and the price tag more, plus this one was the last pair anyway, and that’s fate, isn’t it? Having worn once or twice already, I have no regret, as they’re really stylish and comfortable. Due to the pointy toe, I had to go one size up, so they’re a bit bigger than usual, but good enough with socks, which I wear in fall and winter anyway.
I think they are perfect match with all of my jeans, I love this colour combo especially, even though my hubby thinks they’re hideous, lol. 🙂 But I don’t mind it. Actually I love them because they give that final touch/twist to anything simple really, and that’s exactly what I love most in shoes (ok, beside the comfort of course :)).
Love or loathe? What do you think?
