Not so long ago I showed you one of my most successful scores when it comes to any kind of tops. And it’s great, but at this point the lack of proper fall/winter jumpers was so serious, that I just couldn’t stop searching. As I saw a lot of nice things in H&M, I went back to try and well, buy even more of them. Now, I think, I’m good for a while. 🙂
So first of all, my favourite. A black turtleneck with ruffles, long sleeves (always loved too long sleeves, it’s one of the benefits when you’re on the short side :)) and tiny cut outs on the top. Maybe you’re wondering why this, because due to the frills it’s quite feminine, but I think the black colour gives an edge to it (especially with off-beat jeans), also it kinda reminds me of the Victorian era, while it reminds my husband of a flamenco dancer, which is fun.
This one is a lighter option, and more like a thin bomber jacket, but yet again in black. The cut wasn’t that bad and it was pretty cheap too (around £20-25), but I didn’t like this one so much I would have spent a penny on it, so it stayed in the store.
Another thin knit option in white with contrasting hems. Again I liked the cut of it and the sleeves, but it’s fabric was so thin and stretchy that made every creases of my tee visible, which I wasn’t too fond of quite frankly. So this one stayed there too.
On the other hand this grandpa cardi is a great score. It’s really thick – actually I’m kinda wondering when can I wear it here in London, – but anyway it’s full wool-cashmere blend which is amazing for ‘only’ £50. Not to mention the extra long sleeves again. BTW it’s available in black too, but this light grey speaks on an elementary level to my soul, which I really adore. Cannot wait to have the chance to wear it, especially with these exact jeans.
Then a (a full cotton) lumberjack shirt in black and red for that thinner layer or a pop of colour when it’s needed. I love wearing it the above presented ways, but it’s the best tied around the waist. And did I mention its price? It was only £15!
Which lead me to try this combo in the fitting room. You know, for extra cold days.
And finally something unexpected I guess. A bright lilac sweater with amazing puffy sleeves. I just adore this unusual colour and it’s surprisingly warm, fully covered with termo fluff inside. So yes, you’ll see this top again and again.
So yet again, a really successful, trendy and warm H&M round up on a good price which just couldn’t be any better, I guess. And now, I’m full ready for winter to come, not that I want it to come or I’m not longing after a tartan coat, but I have a feeling it won’t happen, as so far all of them looked ridiculously overwhelming on me. Shame, but I’m more than happy with these tops for a while.
Have a great weekend!
