It’s kinda unbelievable that Topshop is among big designer names, isn’t it? You know, where we buy our stuff when we need something. What’s even more unbelievable, that’s this collection is now can be shopped in the stores and online as well. Ok, it’s not a unique thing, actually this is the new trend, and if somebody has the resources to do so, Topshop is. But still, it was weird to see these things in person few days ago.
Because, I’m asking you; where is the exclusivity? Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy, that now I have the possibility to buy these things fresh from the runway, as I never belonged to the privileged circle to put my hands on something as soon as possible, nor had the patience to wait for sales, what would be the point then?
But on the other hand, I’m pretty sure I won’t buy these things. Not because I don’t like them or they would be far from designer fashion, but because nothing speaks to me on that elementary level, that I would open my wallet. Actually I didn’t really take a closer look in the store. What does this say about me or the collection? Maybe I’m just not in a Topshop fase right now, it happens.
On another note; maybe I should’ve taken a closer look to check the fabrics because they don’t seem so extraordinary here on the pictures. And then again what would be the difference from the other stuff in the other corner?
To say something good though, I like the shoes (as always) and styling is fine too. I also adore the thigh high slits on the dresses and skirts. And if you haven’t heard so far, it seems zebra is the new leopard. Oh, maybe that’s the problem, I’m a cat person from the bottom of my heart, so if I wanna wear leopard (which I don’t really do btw) I do wear leopard. Not that it would be a question. Style always comes first to fashion.
So from now on Topshop is gonna copy itself (too) to make something similar with a more affordable price?
