Phillip Lim has had a nice, feminine but edgy shows for years and he didn’t disappoint this time either. And I didn’t selected the most feminine floral white pieces to this post. I’ve never been a girly girl, so what I need from Phillip Lim is some minimalistic edge mixed with a bit of rock&roll feeling.
I think it’s not hard to see what I have in mind. The studded or sneakskin shoes and boots, the interestingly cut denim pieces and the monochromastic looks give us enough details to that feeling. And I love love love these. Devil is always in the details.
I could easily rock one of the pointy shoes, actually this is a thing which is painfully missing from my shoe rack, but really difficult to find with all the right details. I also enjoy the last look in total, the frilly/stripey pieces could give an admirable and somewhat missing flare from my wardrobe, even though I don’t think this is the collection which fast fashion will copy first, or at all. There’s not enough flare for that I guess. But lets see what’s happening.
Midriff, denim and platform. Do you see the pattern here?
