If you’ve been following me for a while, it shouldn’t be surprise that I love Vagabond shoes (proof here and here). The Swedish brand offers good quality, clean lines, practicality and affordable prices. And if this is not enough, these shoes are not overexposed at all.
When I saw these ankle booties checking the fall collection on their website, I knew in a second; I need these in my life. I loved the shape, the heels, the suede material and of course this rusty brownish color which they call hazel.
Earthy tones have a big time at the moment and I think they’re going to stay with us for a while. Not that tans and browns wouldn’t have been classics thus far, if we think about it, there’re people (actually most of the people, except for Winters) shouldn’t wear black near to the face, because it doesn’t give them any favour. Yep, I’m guilty too, but sometimes we just need to break the rules, don’t we?
Sure, ankle boots are not in your face, but still, I love coordinating colors in my outfits and I’ve been adoring every earthy colors for a while, like my (not so) new tan bag, tobacco brown duster, or the above mentioned rusty red loafers. And I especially love these with all my blue vintage Levi’s, and all the odd colors like deep lilac and strong yellow, which Vetements and some other brand favour so much this season. Which is weird too, because I used to – well – dislike these colors.
Anyway, do you remember what I said about fate? I wanted to wait a bit with pulling the trigger, as it’s better to sleep one more night on it, and I knew, I couldn’t wear them for a while. But then Zalando happened, which offered 20% off from every new season ankle boots. They sure know how to seduce you to buy things from there. But I won’t complain, it was meant to be.
So yes, I have my new brown/hazel boots which means I’m almost prepared for fall. The question is’ when can I start to wear them?
What do you think?
Happy Friday and weekend, guys!
