Ok, call me a hypocrite if you wish, I take it. Who, you’ve been reading this blog for a while knew exactly why. To you, who are new here, here’s a bit of a hint: I’ve had this love-hate, but mostly disappointed relationship with Zara lately. The situation was so bad actually, that I haven’t put my feet to their stores…until now.
So what happened? Well, the new pretty fresh and crunchy collection happened. I guess. Now that sales are coming to an end and there’re more on more new collection on the shop floors, things are getting better again. Not so messy, not so busy, so I took my chance to take a step in. And what a lucky step it was.
Do you remember those ballerinas that I tired in Office Shoes, questioning whether those would be my next purchase? Well, these are much better. First of all, when it comes to the prices, there’re not so much brand (with similar fashion following abilities and quality range) which can beat Zara. These are £40 against the ones in Office Shoes which cost 55! Secondly, these are leather and have this darker dirty pink color, while those were light (already?) dirty pink suede. Thirdly, the tie ups. The tie-ups on these cross the feet too, not just the ankle, which I – personally – like more. And they’re comfortable too. And go with everything, and I feel like a ballerina. 🙂
And the best part? After all these? The best part is that I was willing to pay the 40 quid for them, but the price tag said they were 30! And if you’re a conscious buyer as I tend to be, you’re gonna say you want them for 30. And they won’t argue with you. Ok, maybe it’s not the most elegant thing to do, but hey, I worked there, I know how things are going there, so I think it’s only fair, isn’t it? (Not to mention that the Zara owner is one of the richest men in the world?!)
And did Zara get back to my heart? Well, it’s not there yet, but definitely much closer and maybe I’ll buy something else too. 🙂
What do you think? Do you like them too?
