Ops, I did it again… But this time I’ve missed only two collections, so I guess, I’m improving. 🙂 Plus it wasn’t only my fault, Vogue Runways seems a bit scattered as collections appeared in total random times, but maybe that’s just because there’re so many pre-collections at the moment.
Anyways, this was a good time to check out all of the collections again and although there are more what I skipped, this was the only one which is felt interesting enough to me.
Probably because I have this feeling that Off-White is Vetements‘ not so well known little brother. The emphasis is on Vetements this time, as I love what they’re doing. And if I like something, I don’t mind if I get it or something similar repeatedly. Also, Off-White is the simpler, low-key version of the Parisian fashion collective, where the clothes are interesting enough but not so weird, if you know what I mean.
Yes, we still have reworked wide legged jeans and tracksuits, bombers and trench-coats, the cuts, proportions and colors are quite usual. So why do I like it then? Because of the edgy, sporty feel, simple colors, oversized cool jeans and that leather trench seems yummy too. The only thing what I would change is those shoes. I don’t mind really them, but I’m really missing something else too. But that’s just a styling question. 🙂
He’s new to me, but it doesn’t matter because I like what I got. And that’s mainly because of the mood of these photos. Well, I rather put on these on the wall, than go to shopping the clothes, but art is art, what’s nice that’s nice and by the way, the clothes seem amazing too.
But first things first; the contrasting industrial building with the fan shaped ropes is a massive hit. The make up is beautiful and goes well with the clothes, which are a bit oriental, a bit 20s inspired with a small sporty touch. Sounds interesting, ha? It is. It’s beautifully, amazingly, shockingly interesting.
Flowers, stripes, kimono style clothes, Charleston style dresses, socks and sandals can go really well together. The colors are mostly blue-red-white and khaki-pink pairs which look good together. My only pet peeve is the sneaker, again. I don’t like it at all, no wonder you can see it just once here. 🙂 But this is a really nice collections, nonetheless.
PS: It’s funny how much I like white denim on others, and it shouldn’t be a question, as white couldn’t be more neutral, but I’m still struggling when it comes to styling them. I’m blaming my height I guess, because it’s ridiculous that the model can get away with white wide leg jeans, loose fitted, long top and flats. Life is just not fair…
