Still yellows, but this time from home. What I like most in interior design and trends that they don’t change so fast as in fashion. Moreover, there are even more possibility to create your own, unique space.
Well, as unique it can be. I have no illusions though, I know exactly that when it comes to furnishing, most people absolute favorite is IKEA. And I can totally go with it. I love it too, I love that I can find everything and even more what I want. With an affordable price. I don’t need more at this very moment.
Of course it would be better, if our home wouldn’t look like an IKEA catalog, but oh well, I’m satisfied how our home turned out. Also, I try to but smaller pieces here and there (Sainsbury’s is pretty good for example), to break the domination of the Swedish brand a bit. But one thing is quite certain, I won’t change the furnishing or the decoration for a long while. And it feels so good. It feels like home. 🙂
Anyway, when it comes to furnishing, my number one motto is buying better quality, but more neutral looking furniture and a lot of not so pricey, unique accessories. Like on these pictures. Love, love, love them. Love the smaller or bigger yellow details which can really cheer up any, otherwise neutral place. Now wonder, that my place has a relatively lot of yellow too (if you’ve missed it, check it out right here :)).
And the best part is, that it looks good with basically every color. It’s still the best with, black, grey and white, but it’s nice with browns, greens, oranges and blues too. I really like the idea, of having some yellow and for example a tiny bit of sea blue color in the same room. Ah, never thought I would be so into yellow hues, but here I am adoring it. 🙂 Maybe I’m getting
old mature. 🙂
What do you think about these homes? And the yellow accessories?
