Cannot believe that June is coming to end, it feels it’s just started yesterday. I could be happy, because at normal circumstances it would mean that we’re really get into summer, but the weather is so crappy lately, I cannot tell you. On top of this, I got sick and probably nothing’s worse than being ill in the ‘summer’. But that’s enough whining, let see what happened in this month. Good and bad too, but probably with a more sarcastic tone than usual.
Ah, this is good, I have lovely memories creating this post about colors and color types. Although I don’t wear too much color, I know that there’re hues which suit me better, while others wash me completely out. Actually this post was a big part of my college education, but it was really good to brush it up a bit and maybe, hopefully it was useful to you too, wasn’t it? 🙂
I had a few store checks, but this time I did one quite differently, documenting not the clothes but everything else what caught my eye. And well, I had usual store check too and surprise, surprise I bought some clothes too, but more about those later in the post.
We traveled home, to Hungary, and I showed you how I pack quite lightly for 3 days. And showed you a lot of pictures of smaller cities like Pecs (where my hubby was born) and the Kiskunfelegyhaza in the Kiskunsag (where I’m from). I also made some recommendation, like if you travel to Hungary, don’t visit just Budapest, but go to the countryside as well. I hope, I brought/can bring you in the mood with the posts above. But if not, did I mention, that it’s pretty cheap too? 🙂
And believe it or not this travel and my love for western/southern US style brought me in the mood to create a series of posts about European cowboys and cowgirls, proving that you don’t have to be Erin Wasson to rock cowboy style. And how is this connected to Hungary? I gave you a bit of clue above, but if you’ve missed it, go and read my post.
So what else? I ordered some things online as well, and while I found the perfect vintage denim jacket and a ‘new’ vintage tee at Beyond Retro’s webshop, but sent a lot of things things back. No regret though. 🙂
Cruise season started and ended. I wrote about my favorite shows and how fashion is changing, because yes dear Reader, everything is changing, why fashion would be the exception? And if changes, the unimaginable happened on the 24th of June with the UK voting for Brexit. Since then it’s pretty clear, that a lot of people didn’t really want, or what’s even worse mean it, Cameron resigned, the parliament and the whole society have cut off. The pound is falling, Eastern European immigrants are abused and on the top of all this, politicians won’t rush the final decision because something is even more important. The vacation, what else. Oh, and in the end the UK may have something similar deal like Norway, which means basically no change, but with this current downfall and no more word to the European decisions. Yes, it was totally ‘worth it’… 🙁 (See? Sarcasm!)
But at least we won’t go on a vacation and I couldn’t find a good statement summer top, because all of the goodies are in the US (don’t mind me, I’m being cold supported sarcastic here again:)). Maybe we should move there. But what if Trump will get elected? Frankly, I don’t want to think about it. 🙁
Oh, oh, oh, but something good happened too. Just to turn this rather depressing post to something better. Ok, probably it doesn’t mean anything to you, but at least to the fellow Hungarians. But hey, a positive thing is positive nonetheless, isn’t it? So here you are: I’m not a big football/soccer fan, but it’s a habit to us to watch the Euro and World Championships. And finally, Hungary got in too! And although we were already dropped off (among the best of 16!), we can finally say that we have a team. A lovely, talented team with a really good coach. Finally something which brings some joy to the Hungarians. Because it doesn’t happen often that the traffic stops on the boulevard in Budapest. And who would deny that the Hungary-Portugal was one of the best matches so far? Well, maybe not the people from Portugal, but everybody else? Right. Ok, I’ve really finished. 🙂
What I wore:
What can I say? Vintage jeans and loafers rule. At least most of the time. Because I found my love for western style things – which was easier to find in my wardrobe than I thought -, and basically for everything what counts basic, like not one but two pairs of Converse, black skinnies and leather jackets and parkas. Because of this shitty weather and the news of Brexit one has to wear something familiar, simple and comfy. But don’t worry, vintage jeans are coming back for sure. 🙂
What I bought:
Well, that’s not much, is it? 🙂 And the half of it is vintage. Proud Andi. And being completely frank, I bought more things of course, but ended up returning most of them. Which is not a problem though, if something doesn’t fit I won’t push it anymore. I have more than enough clothes anyway (no, I don’t ;)).
Cruise/pre-summer/resort 2017 collections:
The summer collections which are not so summery anymore, right? Well, who could judge them? I certainly won’t, if it’s possible, I love fall/winter collections even more. And I don’t mind the mixed inspiration either as long as we have this beautiful weather (see? it’s coming again and again). Duh. Ok, I zipped it and here you have something to cheer up again. Tomorrow is Friday! Yeyy!
Take care, and don’t forget that you can easily follow me on Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Bloglovin too. And one more thing. Now I created a profile on Patreon. If you enjoy what I’m doing here, moreover you would like to support me to continue do so, you can do it there. I would really appreciate every cent/penny/filler. No push, though! 🙂
