As I told you before, when I was in the work to create my post about the European Cowboys and Cowgirls, my mind instantly started to buzz. After all, this blog is dedicated to fashion, style and my personal looks. And to be frank, I didn’t have to strain myself, as it was an easy, smooth process. For me at least, (the connections in my brain was constructed by fashion I guess :)) but it’s pretty difficult to explain.
I discovered this, when I wrote the post to my first European Cowboy outfit. Creating an outfit was quite intentional. I knew what I wanted from the very first moment, but why did I want those, it’s more difficult to put in words.
If it’s possible, this time it’s even more difficult, but I’ll try my best to describe the whole process. So first things first, I wanted something else in the same topic. It could be softer but the influence still must remain obvious. Secondly, I wanted to incorporate other items. This time more feminine items but with the intention to remain faithful to my style, which means a tiny bit more feminine but still comfortable and edgy look.
Confused? Maybe it’ll be clearer when you see the pictures. So lets see them. 🙂
I observed that when it comes to western/southern inspired style for women, they tend to wear more feminine pieces as well. Like frills and skirts. In my case this womanly piece was my new top by Mango. It took me a long time until I found it, but now it’s nothing easier than styling and wearing it. With everything basically. It’s simple enough to built in every kind of outfit, but has that extra something which makes my looks more interesting.
I think, you can tell how much I enjoy wearing it. I’m in love with the long flared and embroidered sleeves and the semi-open back especially. And the material… ok, with everything in it. 🙂
Then the boots, namely the Pistol boots by Acne Studios came to play. What can I say? Nomen est omen, The influence is pretty clear, but diligent designer hands formed them to their own image by making the toes rounder, the heels higher and by adding the tassel details to the zipper. They’re edgy but feminine at the same time which attributions make them perfect in my eyes. I don’t think I’ll ever get rid off them…
And again what could represent the good old American style and fit into the classy European style better than a pair of vintage Levi’s 501? Yes, if you have a pair of western booties and a denim piece, basically you’re done. But this time I used a wide belt with big buckle too. And this taupe bag because
I was lazy enough not packing out of it it’s not black and the tassel detail goes great with the other tassel details on my boots. 🙂
So this was my second post of challenge in this great topic, hope you enjoyed it too, and that you’re excited to see the next one which will come later this week.
