Still New York. Rosie Assoulin is quite new on the fashion scene, however I heard about her before but I didn’t like her collection so much that I would have posted it. Until now because I like this latest collection pretty much.
Not the pieces, even though those are not bad either, but the whole mood of the collection which is a bit dark, bit summery, rustic and elegant at the same time. It’s an interesting mix, really really interesting indeed.
I especially adore those muted rainbow striped material which comes back as a bustier top, coat, skirt and even as a dress. And it looks great with darker skin color and every natural hair what the models have here. The wall looks amazing too, good choice.
If I went to Latin America or to the Mediterranean in the summer (or winter as we’re speaking about a Cruise collection here) I’d definitely consider one of the pieces. Or at least something similar. 🙂 Anyway, the inspiration is perfect. Well done!

PS: Now I’m going to watch the UEFA European Championship as Hungary has – finally! – got out after not less than 44 years (I haven’t lived back then, for God’s sake). First match will be with Austria and the odds are not too good, but hope will die last. Cross the fingers, guys! Go Hungary! Hajra magyarok! 🙂
