As you know my biggest passion is clothes and getting dressed so most of my posts (and store checks) about these things actually but I like other things too. Like home decorating and buying small deco or utility things for example. And it doesn’t matter that pillow or mug is from H&M Home or IKEA or Sainsbury’s or from the local market. I love browsing everywhere. This time for example on Oxford Street.
This is my favorite place to hunt for new things and not just because it’s the easiest to approach but because most of brands is placed next to each other. Moreover, has more stores on either Oxford or Regent Street. On the other hand it could be terribly busy and crowded so I always try to find times which are a bit calmer.
Of course I checked the usual clothes as well but this time I was concentrating on other things. Other things which I liked or just rose my interest.
We have a plan about buying some pictures where we lived so far but interestingly enough we have only one picture about Cork where we were living the less. 🙂 And there was this London pic which isn’t bad but not exactly what we’re looking for.
And if store checking then outfit selfie picture which you could see also in the previous post, but now with the bomber still on. I tried on some vintage pieces too but didn’t buy anything this time.
I found a vintage belt with a pretty cool watch buckle. It’s definitely not for me but I could imagine on a cool guy. On my husband too but sadly he didn’t like it.
And some more posters which also look quite nice but the prices are pretty horrible. I mean, 20-35 quid for a piece of nice paper seems a bit much, doesn’t it?
I love how Regent Street is “dressed up” at the moment with the Union Jacks. And I loved this Scotsman playing on bagpipes in the middle of Oxford Circus. Well, I couldn’t be any more newbie here I guess.
My favorite fashion retailer in Home Department is H&M. It’s more affordable than Zara and have more not too girly stuff. Not too mention that sickeningly sweet scent by the home perfumes which is good when you arrive but after a while it’s just too much. I don’t know about you but I can’t be there more than 5 minutes.
Back to H&M. Probably I inherited this from my mother or I’m just a usual woman but I love every kind of glasses and mugs and plates and basically everything. This time I saw these flat cups and I like both the shape and the color. Especially the green ones with the golden line. But it wouldn’t be the best options for microwaves I guess. 🙁
And do you remember that woven bag which I mentioned in the H&M Summer Collection post? It turned out they’re from the Home Collection. Actually I didn’t find that specific one which I had selected there but I found similar ones. Probably you cannot tell from the picture but the ones on the left hand side are quite small. So these could be daily bags as well but of course the don’t have any of real handbag’s features (like pockets or a closure). But they’re nice bags anyway and I easily could image them at home too.
Some trays available in more colors like black and white. I don’t now why but recently I love every kind of trays too. But probably the reason is that I’m a tidying up girl all the time and these things make it so much easier. Or that’s just me? 🙂
PS: I would love these streets even more if they ditched the traffic and made the whole thing only suitable for pedestrians. With more trees for example? It would be so great.
